It’s time for another Festive Friday Challenge. This Challenge is designed by several very talented Demonstrators from all over the world. For this challenge we are given an Inspiration list of 10 items. We are to pick at least 3 items from the list to create our project.
For my card I used Flowers, Bees, Yellow, Embossing and Twine
Cutting and instructions to create my card:
- Card base is Thick Basic White card stock cut at 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored and folded at 5 1/2″ for a top fold card
- Designer Series Paper is Heart and Home DSP, cut at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and attacked directly to the Thick Basic White card stock with liquid glue
- Cut a piece of Vellum approximately 4″ x 5 1/2″
- On one side of the vellum, using a Blender Brush and Mango Melody ink lightly brush ink all over the vellum. Set aside to dry
- Stamp the flowers and bees from the Honeybee Home stamp set in Memento ink
- Die cut the images using the Honey Bee Blooms die set
- Color the flowers in Light and Dark Daffodil Delight blends, the leaves in Light and Dark Granny Apple Green blends and the bees in Light So Saffron blends
- Use a Black Stampin Write marker to color the black on the bees as it has a very fine tip
- Paint the wings of the bee with Wink of Stella
- Die cut some of the other flower images in Old Olive and Smoky Slate card stock
- Once the vellum has dried emboss it with the Hive 3D embossing folder
- Roughly tear the edges of the honeycomb vellum
- Using either side, sponge some liquid glue on the back of the vellum and attach to the Designer Series Paper layer (leaving the edges loose)
- Arrange the flowers, foliage and the bees over the vellum attaching them with dimensionals and glue dots
- Stamp a sentiment in Versa Mark from the Nature’s Print stamp set and heat emboss with Copper Embossing Powder
- Fussy cut the sentiment out and attach with dimensionals
- Tie a triple bow with Linen Thread and attach to the base of the flowers with a glue dot
- Arrange some Champagne Rhinestone to the card for a little extra blinge
