I’m so excited to be able to participate in Kylie’s Monthly International Blog Highlights for October. I’m always up for a good challenge and this month, I decided I wanted to play with the new Warm Welcome stamp set that was featured in Stampin Up’s World Card Making Day on October 1st. This is a sneak peak of a stamp set that will be in the January to July Mini Catalogue.
This gallery challenge is made up of very talented stampers that create amazing cards that you are able to vote on and pick your favorites later on in the month. The top ten winners will get to be part of an International blog hop at the end of the month.
I would really appreciate you taking the time and voting for my card.
Here are the cutting and instructions to create my card:
- Card base is Basic White card stock cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Layer a piece of Basic White card stock cut at 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ and embossed with the Brick and Mortar 3 D embossing folder directly to the card base with liquid glue
- Use a Sponge Dauber and Smokey Slate, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede inks and lightly brush ink on the bricks to give some dimension to the brick wall
- The patio floor is a piece of the Lights Aglow 6×6 Designer Series Paper cut at 1 3/8″ x 4 1/4″ adhered to the base of the card
- Stamp the door image from the Warm Welcome stamp set on a piece of Smokey Stale card stock in Memento Black ink
- Use the dies from the Warm Welcome Bundle and die cut the door and the inside of the door out
- Adhere the door to the brick wall with dimensionals
- Stamp a sentiment on a piece of Basic White and die cut it with the door opening die and glue directly on the brick wall
- For the floor mat, stamp the Welcome sentiment in Early Espresso on a piece of Crumb cake and use the die to cut it. Adhere directly to the floor
- The address plate is die cut in Gold Foil paper and the numbers are die cut in Basic Black card stock and added directly to the wall with liquid glue
- On Basic White card stock, stamp the kitty and the bouquet of flowers in Memento Black and color with Stampin Blends and die cut them and adhere to card with dimensionals
- To finish off the door add a gold door knob using a gold gem from the Festive Pearls
