I fell in love with the cute Adorable Owl Stamp set and wanted to play with them right away. The owls are so much fun to color. For my card I created a background scene and put the flying owl on a Wobble (which can be found on Amazon.ca)
Products and instructions to create this card:
- Card base is Night of Navy card stock cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
- To make the back ground scene, cut a hill shaped landscape out of a piece of photo copy paper.
- Using a Blending brush and Old Olive ink, brush a few hills on the bottom on a piece of Basic White Card stock cut at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (this will be cut down a little after the scene is completed)
- For the clouds in the sky, make a mask using the scalloped die from the Basic Border dies and lightly brush it with Balmy Blue to create the clouds
- Stamp the evergreen trees from the Mountain Air stamp set in Mossy Meadow on the hills
- Cut the finished scenic layer to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Stamp a sentiment in the sky from the Adorable Owl stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink
- Adhere the scenic layer to the card base with liquid glue
- Stamp the owls in Memento Black on a piece of Basic White and color the owls with Stampin Blends
- Fussy cut the owls out with Paper Snips
- Adhere the sitting owl with dimentionals and the flying owl is attached to the card with a Wobble (which can be found on Amazon .ca) this gives the owl little movement
- Place some Pebble Enamel Shape gems (which are still available on the clearance rack) on the ground around the owls and the hills
- Place some Opal Rounds gems to the card for some more bling
