I saw this card idea on Frenchie Stamps and decided I had to case it with a few tweaks. I thought is was such a great way to use the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper and the large Deckled Circles from the 2023 Sept – Dec Mini Holiday catalogue. This card was made with the second and third largest Deckled Circles.
Directions to create this card:
- Start with a full 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of Night of Navy card stock, scored a 5 1/2″.
- Fold the sheet of card stock at the score line.
- Place the 2nd largest Deckled Circle die on the card stock, extending the die a little past the fold of the card stock, so as not to cut right through both layers of card stock, making a flip up card.
- Die cut the circle through both pieces of Night of Navy at once, making the flip up card.
- Die cut the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper with the 3rd largest Deckled Circle die.
- Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the Night of Navy card base.
- On a scrap of Basic White card stock, stamp the tree images and the bear from the Beary Cute stamp set. I stamped the bear in Basic Gray ink and colored a few spots with light Smokey Slate Stampin Blends. The tree outline I stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped the second part of the tree image in Mossy Meadow ink and colored the tree with light Old Olive Stampin Blends.
- Fussy cut the tree out and use the Beary Cute Punch to punch out the bear.
- Pop the tree and the bear to the card with dimensionals.
- Stamp a sentiment in Night of Navy ink and die cut with the Deckled Circle die.
- Die cut the same size Deckled Circle in Night of Navy card stock.
- Adhere the two circles together with liquid glue, off setting the Night of Navy layer.
- Pop up the sentiment with dimensionals.
- Die cut a piece of Basic White card stock with the third largest circle for the inside of the card.
- Stamp an image on the Basic White card stock and adhere to the inside of the card with liquid glue
