Stamp set: A Touch of Ink, Free Sale A Bration stamp set
Paper: Highland Heather, Basic White ,DSP Hydrangea Hill
Accessories: Tasteful Texture embossing folder, blending brushes, blends, basic pearls, dimensionals. liquid glue.
Cutting Measurements:
- Highland Heather 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 scored at 5 1/2 for the card base.
- DSP Hydrangea Hill designer paper cut at 1 x 5 1/2
- Basic White 3 x 3
- Basic White 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
- Basic White scraps for stamping hummingbird, flowers and sentiment
Instructions to create the Touch of Ink Hummingbird Card
- Fold Highland Heather card stock at the score line.
- Attach the piece of Hydrangea Hill DSP to the card front about 3/4 ” from the fold line.
- Using the blending brushes lightly blend the Highland Heather, Balmy Blue and Blushing Bride inks on the 3 x 3 piece of Basic White.
- Place the blended 3 x 3 piece of Basic White in the Tasteful Texture embossing folder and run it through the Cut and Embossing machine
- Glue the blended piece to the 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Basic White with liquid glue.
- Attach these two pieces to the card with dimensionals.
- Stamped the hummingbird from the SAB A Touch of Ink stamp set in Memento Ink and color the hummingbird with Stampin Blends . I used Old Olive light and dark and Real Red for the throat . I also colored the red throat with Wink of Stella to give it a little glitter. I stamped the flower from the same stamp set and colored it with blends as well using Highland Heather light and dark and the leaves in Granny Apple Green. I fussy cut out the hummingbird and the flowers and then attached them to my card using dimensionals.
- For the sentiment I stamped Happy Birthday also from the stamp set in Highland Heather and then punched it out using the Classic Label punch. I also punched a piece of Highland Heather card stock using the same punch and cut it in half and added it to each side of my sentiment giving it a more layered look.
- I finished the card with three Basic Pearls placed on the top layer
