I made is card for the Canada Inks Up, August Card Challenge. The Challenge was to use Designer Series Paper, a Sentiment but no images. I decided to use the Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper and Lost Lagoon card stock. The Sentiment is from the Layering Leaves.
Cutting and Instructions to create this card:
- Card Base is Lost Lagoon card stock cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Basic White layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Cut the Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper as cutting instructions below
- Dry test the pattern on the card you want. Trimming the pieces maybe needed. When ready to add to card layer attach with liquid glue, leaving a space for the sentiment squares
- Emboss the Basic White layer, with the tiles glued to the card layer, with the Basic 3D Embossing folder using the Thatched pattern folder
- Cut a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″
- Cut a piece of Basic White 2 1/8″ x 2 1/8″
- Stamp a sentiment from the Layering Leaves in Lost Lagoon ink
- Glue the squares and add to the card
- Adhere the finished Basic White layer with the finished tiled pattern to the Lost Lagoon card base
