Canada Inks Up – August Card Challenge

I made is card for the Canada Inks Up, August Card Challenge. The Challenge was to use Designer Series Paper, a Sentiment but no images. I decided to use the Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper and Lost Lagoon card stock. The Sentiment is from the Layering Leaves.

Cutting and Instructions to create this card:

  1. Card Base is Lost Lagoon card stock cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″
  2. Basic White layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″
  3. Cut the Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper as cutting instructions below
  4. Dry test the pattern on the card you want. Trimming the pieces maybe needed. When ready to add to card layer attach with liquid glue, leaving a space for the sentiment squares
  5. Emboss the Basic White layer, with the tiles glued to the card layer, with the Basic 3D Embossing folder using the Thatched pattern folder
  6. Cut a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock 2 3/8″ x 2 3/8″
  7. Cut a piece of Basic White 2 1/8″ x 2 1/8″
  8. Stamp a sentiment from the Layering Leaves in Lost Lagoon ink
  9. Glue the squares and add to the card
  10. Adhere the finished Basic White layer with the finished tiled pattern to the Lost Lagoon card base
