Color Challenge-Card Sketch-Hue of Happiness

I had to do a Color Challenge for a Stamp Camp I was in recently. I love the colors but wasn’t quite sure about putting them together. The colors were Misty Moonlight, Rich Razzleberry, and Smoky Slate. I decided to use a card sketch to help me design my card.

Cutting and instructions to make my card:

  1. Card base is Smoky Slate cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored and folded at 4 1/4
  2. Basic White card stock layer is cut at 4 x 5 1/4
  3. Emboss the Basic White layer with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder
  4. Adhere the embossed layer to the card base with liquid glue
  5. Cut a tag in the Misty Moonlight and Rich Razzleberry card stock using the Tailored Tag dies
  6. Stamp a sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set on the Misty Moonlight tag and heat emboss it in white
  7. Glue the Rich Razzleberry tag directly to the Basic White card layer
  8. Adhere the Misty Moonlight tag with dimensionals, overlapping the Rich Razzleberry tag
  9. Die cut a 2 3/4 circle in Basic White using the Layering Circle dies
  10. Die cut a scalloped circle in Misty Moonlight from the same die
  11. Brush a thin layer of Misty Moonlight ink on the Basic White circle with a Blending Brush
  12. Adhere the Basic White layer and the Misty Moonlight layer together with liquid glue
  13. Pop it up on the tags with dimensionals
  14. On a scrape of Basic White card stock, stamp some roses from the Happiness Abound stamp set with Memento Black ink
  15. Color them with Stampin’ Blends. I used Light and Dark Seaside Spray (retired) and Misty Moonlight for the roses and Light and Dark Granny Apple Green for the leaves
  16. Die cut them out using the Bloom of Happiness Dies
  17. Attach the flowers to the circle with dimensionals
  18. Place some Iridescent Rhinestones on the card
