Thank you for joining us in our Crafty Collaborations Insta Blog Hop. This Hop is a weekly hop that is a Monochromatic Color challenge and is shared on Instagram. This week’s color is Misty Moonlight.
For my card I used the Nature’s Print stamp set and matching dies Natural Prints (retiring soon). The stamped image is heat embossed with White embossing powder and the smaller Misty Moonlight layer is embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing folder (also retiring soon). The sentiment is one of my go to greetings called the Go To Greetings ( which is retiring soon as well) but I will be keeping mine stamp set. The Designer Series Paper is the Neutrals 6×6 Designer Series Pack. I like to use card sketches to get ideas to make my cards and I used one of Melva Peters, Stamping With Melva card sketch this time. The dimensions for the layer for this card are printed below the card layout.
Cutting and Instructions to create this card:
- Card base is Misty Moonlight card stock, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Designer Series layer is from the Neutrals 6×6 Designer Series Pack cut 4″ x 5 1/4″, adhered directly to the card base
- Basic White card stock layer is 2 1/2″ x 4″
- Misty Moonlight layer is 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″
- Emboss the Misty Moonlight layer with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and adhere directly to the Basic White layer with liquid glue
- Add the 2 layers to the card with liquid glue
- Die cut a Basic White card stock circle using the Stylish Shaped dies.
- Pop the circle onto the embossed layer with dimensionals
- On a piece of Misty Moonlight card stock, stamp the image from the Nature’s Prints with Versamark and heat emboss it with White embossing powder
- Use the matching dies and die cut the image out
- Pop the embossed image onto the Basic White card stock circle with dimensionals
- On a piece of Basic White card stock that is 1/2″ x 2 1/2″, stamp your sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink and flag the end and add to the card with liquid glue and dimensionals
- Finish the card by adding some Basic Rhinestones, remember odd numbers are more appealing to the eye
