It’s time once again for a Festive Friday Challenge. This challenge is designed by several Demonstrators from all around the world. We are given a list of 10 inspirational items to pick from and we must use at least 3 items to create our cards. This week’s challenge is Valentine’s Day -#FF0151
My inspiration for this card was Red, Pearls, Love Sentiment, Hearts and Birds
Cutting and Instructions to create this card:
- Card base is Real Red card stock cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Basic White card stock layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Punch out 3 of the clouds using the cloud punch in copy paper. This is going to be masks for the clouds in the sky
- Place the cloud masks on your card layer with temporary adhesive and with a blending brush and Balmy Blue ink, lightly brush around the masks creating clouds in the sky
- On a piece of Basic White card stock, stamp the two birds from the Sweet Songbird stamp set in Real Red ink, and the nest in Pecan Pie ink and color it with Medium Natural Tone Stampin Blends
- Punch out the largest bird with the Songbird Builder punch and fussy cut the other bird and the nest
- Remove the masks and decide where you want the birds to go and stamp some branches from the Sweet Songbird stamp set in Early Espresso Ink and leaves in Old Olive ink
- Pop up the nest and the birds on the branches with dimensionals
- Stamp some song notes in Memento ink near one bird and some hearts from the other bird.
- Stamp a sentiment in Memento Black ink. I use the With Love from the Creating With You stamp set
- Place some Basic Pearls on the leaves
Love the sponging around the clouds and music notes inside them! Absolutely darling, Marilyn! Thanks for joining us at Festive Friday Challenge 🙂
