January Monthly International Blog Highlight Gallery Hop – Thoughtful Expressions – Enjoy Your Day

I am so excited to once again participate in Kylie Bertucci’s International Card Challenge. This card challenge is made up of very talented Demonstrators from all around the World, who create amazing cards and you get to vote and pick your favorite cards and later on in the month, the Top Ten Winners get to participate in an International Blog Hop.

I wanted to highlight some of the new products that will be available in the new Jan – April 2024 Mini Catalogue. One Suite that caught my eye, is the Thoughtful Expressions Suite with the beautiful Hummingbird stamp and matching die. As you can see from my watermark and my Blog Creating Art With Marilyn, that I have a thing for Hummingbirds! This stamp set is so much fun to color with the Stampin Blends as well.

• Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder (retired)
  • Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder
  • Stampin Blends
• Champagne Iridescent Dots
• Gold Embossing Powder
• Wink of Stella

Cutting and Instructions to create this card:

1. Card base is Poppy Parade card stock, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
2. Cut a piece of the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper from the New Sale A Bration Brochure at 4″ x 5 1/4″
3. Emboss the Designers Series Paper with the Brick and Mortar embossing folder . I didn’t realize this folder has retired so use the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder instead
4. Adhere the embossed piece of Designer Series Paper directly to the card base with liquid glue
5. Stamp the hummingbird and 2 of the flower images from the Thoughtful Expressions in the New Jan – Apr 2024 Mini Catalogue, in Memento Black Ink on a piece of Basic White card stock
6. Color the flowers and hummingbird with Stampin Blends. I used light and dark Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green and Old Olive for the flowers and Real Red, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow for the hummingbird
7. Use the matching Thoughtful Expression dies to cut out the flowers and the hummingbird
8. Attach the flowers and hummingbird to the card with dimensionals
9. Heat emboss a sentiment from the Thoughtful Expression stamp set in Gold Embossing Powder
10. Add the sentiment to the card with dimensionals
11. Add some Wink of Stella to the throat of the hummingbird and also some of the feathers
12. To finish off the card, add some Champagne Iridescent Dots also from the Thoughtful Expression Suite
