This card was made with the Lighting The Way Stamp set and matching dies. The lantern is made with the Distressed Gold Specialty paper and the greeting is from the Go To Greeting stamp set.
Cutting Instructions and Products used to create this card:
- Card base is Misty Moonlight card stock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Basic White card stock layer is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
- On the Basic White layer, lightly brush some Daffodil Delight ink in about the center of the card to create a glow for the lantern
- To create the sky, lightly brush some Balmy Blue ink using a Blending Brush
- Continue creating the sky by adding some Misty Moonlight ink, lightly over the Balmy Blue brushed area
- For the grass area, use Old Olive ink and brush lightly. Continue brushing with Old Olive ink until you achieve the desired finish.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Go To Greeting stamp set, directly to the top of the card with Memento Ink
- Stamp some grass on the ground using the stamp from Lighting The Way
- Die cut the lantern in a piece of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper
- Attach the lantern over the glow with dimensionals
- Stamp a couple of small fireflies and one large firefly in the sky with Memento Black ink
- With Daffodil Delight ink, and a small Blending Brush, brush a little yellow to the bodies of the fireflies to create a glow
- Stamp a large firefly on a scrap of Basic White card stock. You can use the matching die to cut them out but I wanted a closer trimmed edge to the image so I fussy cut the fireflies out.
- Attach the large firefly over the stamped firefly with a dimensional
- On a piece of Basic White card stock, brush some Old Olive ink tamp all over the card stock giving it a brushed colored texture. Stamp some grass on a scrape of Basic White card stock, fussy cut them out, then attach them over the stamped grass for added dimensional
- For some bling add some Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots to the card
