I love to color with my Stampin Blends. The Stampin Blends and the Stampin Up stamps make you feel like an artist without doing much work. The New Magnolia Mood Bundle, which is found in the Online Exclusives, takes coloring to the next level. For this card I used my Stampin Blends in light and dark Bubble Bath, light and dark Granny Apple Green and dark Daffodil Delight. The Designer Series Paper is the Bright and Beautiful 6×6 and the ribbon is Bubble Bath from the 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon Combo pack. The sentiment is from the Pansy Patch stamp set and heat embossed with Silver embossing powder. I have to give Angela McKay of North Shore Stampers credit for the idea of this card and I put my own twist on it.
Cutting and Instructions to complete this card:
- Card base is Basic White card stock, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Die cut a piece of Bubble Bath card stock with the 2nd largest Scalloped Contour die
- Cut a piece of the Bright and Beautiful 6×6 Designer Series Paper, 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″ and adhere directly to the Bubble Bath scalloped layer with liquid glue
- Attach to the card base with dimensionals
- On a piece of Basic White card stock, stamp the large Magnolia flower from the Magnolia Mood stamp set in Smoky Slate ink
- Die cut the image out using the matching Magnolia Mood die
- Color the Magnolia using Stampin Blends. I used light and dark Bubble Bath, light and dark Granny Apple Green and dark Daffodil Delight
- Cut a piece of the Bubble Bath 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon from the Combo Pack and attack behind the Magnolia flower with Stampin Seal
- Add the Magnolia flower to the card with dimensionals
- On a scrap of Bubble Bath card stock, stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set in Versamark ink and heat emboss with Silver embossing powder
- Fussy cut the sentiment and add to the card with dimensionals
- Add some Basic Rhinestone to the card for some added bling
