I love playing with the new One Horse Open Sleigh Collection that can be found In the Online Exclusive Products. The Designer Series paper is so beautiful and makes card making easy, all it needs is a sentiment for a quick card. I’m not really sure what this fold is called but I’m calling it a Barn Door fold.
Cutting and Instructions to create this card:
- Card base is Lost Lagoon cut at 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” scored and folded at 4 1/4”
- Cut on the fold line down 2 1/4”
- From the 2 1/4” cut line, cut on the long side, making a flap
- For the inside of the card cut a piece of Basic White 2” x 5 1/4”
- Glue the Basic White card stock to the bottom of the inside of the card
- Cut a piece of Designers Series Paper from the One Horse Sleigh, 4 1/4” x 5 1/4”
- Cut the Designers Series Paper, 2 1/2” x 5 1/4” (from the top)
- Glue the Designer Series Paper to the top of the inside of the card overlapping the Basic White card stock
- Stamp a sentiment from the Horse & Sleigh stamp set in Memento Black ink
- On the front flap glue the 1 3/4” x 5 1/2” to the flap
- Stamp the horse and sleigh image from the Horse and Sleigh stamp set in Memento Black ink and color with Stampin Blends
- Cut the sleigh trim and runners in Silver foil and adhere to the sled
- Die cut the horse and sleigh out with the matching Horse and Sleigh dies
- Use the Pool Party Stampin Blend and color the white edges left on the image after cutting it out, to make it blend into the scene better
- Pop the image to the flap with dimensionals
- Place some Snowflake sequins to the finished card
