Once again it’s time to participate in Kylie’s Monthly International Blog Hop for August. This challenge is a gallery of Demonstrators’ projects from all over the world and then our cards are voted on. The theme of this challenge is ‘Thank You’. I decided I wanted to play with the Blessings Of Home Stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. I love to color and this stamp set is perfect to color.
Details to create this card:
- Card base is Basic White 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
- Fold card at the 4 1/4″ and then fold back the front at the 2 1/8″ making a Z fold
- For the inside layer cut a piece of Basic White that is 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Emboss this layer with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder, attaching to the inside of the card with liquid glue
- Cut a piece of the Pale Papaya 6×6 Designer Series Paper that is 2″ x 5 3/8″ and attach it the front flap with liquid glue
- Stamp the large flower image from the Blessings of Home in Smokey Slate ink onto a piece of Basic White card stock
- Color the image with Stampin Blends. I used Light Smokey Slate, Light and Dark Pale Papaya, Light and Dark So Saffron, Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie and Light and Dark Granny Apple Green
- Die cut the flower out using the matching die from the Flowers of Home die set
- Because the Stampin Blends bleed though the Basic White I also cut out an extra layer in Basic White and glue the two layer together
- Color a piece of the Pale Papaya 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon in Light Pumpkin Pie and layer it in the back with Stampin Seal
- Pop the flower image onto the flap with dimensionals (only putting dimensionsals on the left side of the flower)
- Stamp a Thank You sentiment in Soft Suede from the Go To Greetings and fuzzy cut it out and add to the inside of the card with dimensionals, hiding it behind the flower image
- Add some Champagne Rhinestones to the card for some bling
Beautiful card Marilyn
