It’s time once again for another Festive Friday Challenge. This challenge is designed by several Demonstrators from all around the world. We are given a list of 10 inspirational items to pick from and we must use at least 3 to create our cards. This week’s challenge is Halloween #FF0145. I decided to make my own Designer Series Paper by doing a One Sheet Wonder using the Nature’s Prints stamp set.
My Inspirational Items were Black, Metallic Thread/Ribbon and Silver
Cutting and Instructions to create this card:
- To create a One Sheet Wonder Designer Series Paper I started with half a sheet of Basic White card stock, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.
- Stamp the largest leaf image from the Nature’s Prints stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink randomly on the card stock. Continue stamping the different images from the stamp set randomly on the card stock, stamp some of the images off the paper’s edge.
- The dotted stamped image is from the Beauty of the Deep stamp set. Stamp the dots on the card stock to fill in the gaps. (see photo 1)
- Card base is Basic Black card stock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 2 1/8″ rotate the card stock and score again at 2 1/8″.
- Fold the flaps into the center of the card, making it a double door card.
- Cut 2 pieces of the Designer Series Paper at 2″ x 5 3/8″, adhere to the card base flaps.
- Die cut a black tag using the Countryside Corners dies.
- Die cut another Countryside Corner die in Basic White. I trimmed about 1/8″ off the edge and bottom of the die, making it about 1/8″ smaller.
- Stamp the large leaf image in Memento Black ink and color lightly with Old Olive and Granny Apple Green Water Colored Pencils. (see photo 2)
- Stamp a sentiment from the Nature’s Print stamp set with Versa Mark and heat emboss with Silver Embossing Powder.
- Attach the left side only to the left flap with dimensionals.
- Tie a bow with the Simply Elegant Silver Trim and attach to the card with a glue dot.
- Add some Basic Rhinestones to the card to finish it.
- Cut a piece of Basic White card stock 4″ x 5 1/4″ and stamp and color the large leaf on it and adhere to the inside of the card. (see photo 3)
