It’s time once again for another Festive Friday Challenge. This challenge is designed by several Demonstrators from all around the world. We are given a list of 10 inspirational items to pick from and we must use at least 3 to create our cards. This week’s challenge is Remembrance Day/Veteran’s Day FF#0146.
My Inspiration Items for my card are Red, Black and Poppy
Cutting and Instructions to create this card:
- Card base is Read Red card stock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Basic White card stock layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Emboss the Basic White layer with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder
- Adhere the embossed layer to the card base with liquid glue
- Cut a piece of Basic White card stock at 1 5/8″ x 4 1/2″
- Stamp the Basic White layer with the leafy image from the Nature’s Prints stamp set in Memento Black ink stamped off
- Cut a Basic Black layer at 1 3/4″ x 4 5/8″ for a layering mat
- Add this layer to the card with dimensionals
- Stamp the flower image on a piece of Basic White card stock. Make a mask and stamp several other flower images on the Basic White card stock
- Stamp a sentiment from the Lazy Days stamp set in Memento Black
- Color the flowers to look like poppies using Real Red, Granny Apple Green and Light Basic Black Stampin Blends
- Lightly brush some Pool Party ink on the background using a Blending Brush
- Die cut the Basic White card stock layer with the largest Stylish Shaped Die
- Cut a Real Red layer at 2 3/4″ x 2 7/8″ and glue to the Basic White layer with liquid glue
- Add this layer to the card with dimensionals, double dimensional on the right side of the layer to keep the layer flush
- Add some black Classic Matte dots to finish the card
