Festive Friday Remembrance Day/Veteran’s Day FF#0146

It’s time once again for another Festive Friday Challenge. This challenge is designed by several Demonstrators from all around the world. We are given a list of 10 inspirational items to pick from and we must use at least 3 to create our cards. This week’s challenge is Remembrance Day/Veteran’s Day FF#0146.

My Inspiration Items for my card are Red, Black and Poppy

Cutting and Instructions to create this card:

  1. Card base is Read Red card stock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″
  2. Basic White card stock layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″
  3. Emboss the Basic White layer with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder
  4. Adhere the embossed layer to the card base with liquid glue
  5. Cut a piece of Basic White card stock at 1 5/8″ x 4 1/2″
  6. Stamp the Basic White layer with the leafy image from the Nature’s Prints stamp set in Memento Black ink stamped off
  7. Cut a Basic Black layer at 1 3/4″ x 4 5/8″ for a layering mat
  8. Add this layer to the card with dimensionals
  9. Stamp the flower image on a piece of Basic White card stock. Make a mask and stamp several other flower images on the Basic White card stock
  10. Stamp a sentiment from the Lazy Days stamp set in Memento Black
  11. Color the flowers to look like poppies using Real Red, Granny Apple Green and Light Basic Black Stampin Blends
  12. Lightly brush some Pool Party ink on the background using a Blending Brush
  13. Die cut the Basic White card stock layer with the largest Stylish Shaped Die
  14. Cut a Real Red layer at 2 3/4″ x 2 7/8″ and glue to the Basic White layer with liquid glue
  15. Add this layer to the card with dimensionals, double dimensional on the right side of the layer to keep the layer flush
  16. Add some black Classic Matte dots to finish the card
