Nuts about Squirrels

I made this card for the World Card Making Day challenge. The Challenge was to CASE a card from a current catalogue. I choose the Nuts about Squirrels stamp set from the July to December Mini catalogue. For the instructions to make this card continue reading

Card Instructions:

  1. Cut a piece of Cajun Craze card stock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ to make card base
  2. I made my own Designer series Paper using the tiny stamps in the set and inked them with Stampin Write Markers and stamped on a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White card stock.
  3. Adhere the DSP or your own stamped card stock to the card using liquid glue
  4. Cut a 2″ x 4″ piece of Old Olive card stock and run it through the Timber 3D embossing folder and glue it directly to the card with liquid glue
  5. Stamp the squirrel images, These are a two stamp image so stamp one in Soft Suede and the other in Crumb Cake and fussy cut them out
  6. Cut a piece of Basic White at 2 3/4″ x 4 1/8″ and stamp the tree branch and the oak leaves directly on the card stock.
  7. For the Oak leaves I used Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Mango Melody
  8. Attach this layer to the card using dimensionals
  9. Place the squirrels on the card with dimensionals
  10. Make a small tag with Mango Melody and stamp the sentiment on it with Early Espresso and attach it with dimensionals
  11. Place 3 Matte Decorative Dots to the card
