This card is made using the stamp set A Touch of Ink from the Jan to Feb Sale A Bration brochure. I love the hummingbird stamp, it is a little bigger than it shows on the stamp set which makes it nice to color and play with. If your would like the instructions for making this card
Stamp set: A Touch of Ink, Happy Thoughts
Paper: Rocco Rose card stock, Basic White card stock, Hydrangea Hill DSP,
Accessories: Pool Party ink, Pear Pizzazz ink, Memento Black, Old Olive blends light and dark, Real Red blends dark, Rocco Rose blends light and dark, Blending Brushes, Wink of Stella and Basic Pearls.
Cutting Measurements:
- Rocco Rose card stock 8-1/2 x 4-1/4 scored at 5-1/2
- Rocco Rose 2-5/8 x 8-1/4
- Basic White card stock 2-1/2 x 4-1/8 (2)
- Hydrangea Hill DSP 4-1/8 x 5-3/8
- Basic White 4 x 5-1/4
- Basic White scrapes to stamp hummingbird and flowers on.
Instructions to make card:
- Fold Rocco Rose card stock on the score line to make the card base.
- Attach Hydrangea Hill DSP to card base.
- Score and fold the Rocco Rose at 4-1/8.
- On the piece of Basic White using the Pool Party ink and the blending brushes, lightly brush some ink on 3/4’s of the Basic White forming the sky. Then with the Pear Pizzazz ink blend it on the bottom to make the grass.
- Stamp sentiment Hello Friend in Memento Black on the blended white card stock.
- Attach the Rocco Rose layer to the card base with liquid glue. Now attach the white blended piece to the Rocco Rose layer with liquid glue.
- Stamp the hummingbird and the flowers in Memento Black ink on the Basic White scraps.
- Color the hummingbird with light and dark Old Olive Blends and color the throat with dark Real Red. Use Wink of Stella to add a little glitter to the hummingbird’s throat.
- Color the flowers in light and dark Rocco Rose and the leaves in dark Granny Apple Green blends.
- Fussy cut the hummingbird and the flowers out and attach them to the white layer with dimensionals.
- Attach Basic Pearls around the hummingbird and the flowers.
- Stamp Happy Birthday on the other small piece of Basic White and attach it to the inside the Rocco Rose flap.
- Attach the larger piece of Basic White to the inside of the card.
